If He Were Here
by Jerome Baquilar
If your man could just see how
You're playing yourself to me,
He'd probably have a stroke
Just from what he could see.
If your guy could only listen to those
Sweet nothings you whisper to my ear,
He'd probably want to stab my heart
With a knife, from what's he'd hear.
If your boy could only sense how
Your fingers touch me from head to heels,
My head, he'd lop off to a basket
Because of the touching he'd feel.
You ask, how would I be acting
If I were the guy on who you're cheating?
I'd just take a deep breath, go home,
Unplug the phone, no sense in senseless beating.
